Colorado Ghost Towns

We ran across this old mining structure on a 55 mile loop through the Sawatch Mountain Range in Colorado. We started in the ghost town of Saint Elmo and were headed up to the abandoned mining town of Hancock when we came across this dilapidated building that appeared ready to topple at any time. The loop makes for great exploring opportunities over three scenic and at times hair-raising mountain passes topping 12,000 feet. Look out for the afternoon electrical storms when you're on exposed 4 wheelers like we rode. Also be aware that the younger members of the group will ride away from the older ones when the threatening storms hit above timberline.
